South Nowra sets a new benchmark for community-focused childcare. Delivered on a single level across a generous site, the architecture is anchored by a lush central courtyard that encourages connection, movement and outdoor play.
A distinctive zig-zag entry canopy creates a memorable sense of arrival, while warm sandstone walls and natural timber soffits give the centre a grounded character that feels at home within the regional Southern Highlands context. Lofty cathedral ceilings and warm natural materials create light-filled, inspiring spaces that nurture curiosity and growth, while seamless indoor–outdoor integration allows children to engage with nature throughout the day.
Clear circulation, open-plan parking and expansive planning ensure ease of access for families and efficient daily operations for educators. Designed to support learning, wellbeing and community, the project reflects a thoughtful and contemporary approach to early education environments.
